Lou Gold Delivers Cathartic Jewel ‘Stained Glass’

When approaching ‘Stained Glass’, the listening experience is bound to be delicate and soft, almost soothing; echoing its author, the track finds a fertile home in cathartic folk and dreamy territories, incredibly bucolic and relatable. It’s the Lou Gold guarantee: gifted with a luscious and hypnotising vocal tone, the Sheffield-based songstress is a pure musical gift, a discovery that feels authentic and pure, a rare sight in today’s industry.

Gearing up for an upcoming EP – ‘Somewhere Between Magic and Historical Materialism’ – Lou Gold packs ‘Stained Glass’ with as much magic as she can. Drenched in a sea of organic textures, complex percussions and acoustic strings, the British creative delivers a piece infused with nostalgia, yet uplifting and hopeful.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, Gold explains: “Like my upcoming album, it’s all steeped in born from a life enriched by global exploration, education, activism, spirituality and dedicated work in sustainability”.
