Bang Releases Immersive and Cinematic New Single ‘Hold On’

We previously discovered the work of Bang, a South-Asian artist from Detroit, when we had the pleasure of interviewing him earlier this year. He’d just teamed up with fellow Detroiter K $tone to produce a banging hip-hop tune called ‘On The Run’, and we instantly fell in love with his sound.

Bang now returns with something a little different in the form of ‘Hold On’, his brand new single. Moving from a hard-hitting rap track to a more laidback and cinematic approach, ‘Hold On’ expertly showcases Bang’s musical versatility. A rich and inviting vocal performance is paired with generally mellow drum work and an all-round ethereal soundscape that you simply melt into.

“I made this song in the hopes of it reaching broken hearts,” says the musician. “Those that have been let down by love. Those that just want to run away”. A sadly all too familiar tale, the universal message in ‘Hold On’ will undoubtedly resonate with a wide audience.

Recorded and produced by Bang himself, ‘Hold On’ reveals an artist unafraid to explore sonic lanes and mix things up. Inspired by Radiohead, Dominic Fike, and Jai Paul, Bang is carving out a unique space of his own, and we can’t wait to hear what he gets up to next!

Serious tune alert! Enjoy ‘Hold On’ on Spotify now:
