Hailing from São Paulo, the talented lyricist and musician is truly authentic and peculiar in his artistry. Walking between hip-hop, electronica and R&B, Child of SP crafts a dark jewel, melancholic and nostalgic, but never overbearing. Drenched in autotune and synthetic goo, the single makes its way towards the listener’s hearts – aided by its philosophical and introspective lyricism.
‘Out the Mud’ also features a stunning music video, a popping work of visual art exploring “3D-rendered animated music video in stylised photorealism”. Speaking about the inspiration behind his songwriting, Child of SP explains: “Do you feel entirely in charge of your life? How far have you come from where you started?”
