The Chris Ruben Band Return with a Slice of Indie-Rock Genius on ‘TROUBLE’

Continuing to amaze us is the six-piece Long Island-based act The Chris Ruben Band. Previous hits like ‘PARASITE’ and ‘MONEY’ started our love affair, and the band’s most recent release ‘TROUBLE’ has only furthered our admiration.

A genius little piece of indie-rock, ‘TROUBLE’ channels a timeless quality that brings all their influences to the fore. There are touches of The Beatles, dabs of Tame Impala, and shades of Cage The Elephant all infused into their latest offering. An anthemic and audience-engaging tune, it’s a track that I would love to experience in a live setting – it just has that aura to it.

Thematically, the song is far more despairing than its infectious sonic appearance. “‘TROUBLE’ is a dark and deep dive into how things can play out when someone once rooted in never giving up ultimately wants to let it all go after a lifetime of chasing a dream and mastering failure,” says the outfit.

A tune that will form part of The Chris Ruben Band’s upcoming album ‘An Incredible Forever’, ‘TROUBLE’ is an instant classic in my opinion. Though no official release date has been provided, it’s a record we simply cannot wait to hear!
