Bad Bubble Surprises Fans with New Album ‘An Intricate Cacophony’

About two months ago, Chicago-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Bad Bubble surprised his fans with a new and unexpected album. Titled ‘An Intricate Cacophony’, the avant-garde and experimental fifteen-track offering is a true work of art. Fully organic, the record exemplifies the purity of traditional recording techniques, with every tune delicately hand-crafted. “To succeed by compromise is to fail,” says Bad Bubble. “I believe in that and operate by that ethos”.

‘Scintillating Noir’ gets things underway and sets the mood for the journey one is about to embark on. A beautifully textured and refined track, it envelops the listener in a lush and atmospheric embrace. ‘Sliced Bongo’, the album’s lead single, follows, and Bad Bubble infuses his vocals into proceedings. Reminiscent of the recent work of Bon Iver, it’s a hazy and immersive song that you simply melt into.

‘Eight Six on Me’ provides the first taste of a more expansive and powerful sonic landscape, before the title track sends us back down to earth again in a soothing and contemplative retreat.

Other personal favourites include ‘The Construction Workers’, ‘Dots’, and ‘The Latch’. Truthfully, however, it’s a record that should be absorbed from start to finish. Pure blissful brilliance!
