Friends of Friends Release Multifaceted Debut EP ‘REAL LIFE, RIGHT NOW’

When you’re sharing stages with Post Malone and Mike Shinoda (Linkin Park) is attending your shows, there’s a good chance you’re onto something sonically special. Such is the case with Brisbane-based three-piece Friends of Friends, who have just unleashed their debut EP ‘REAL LIFE, RIGHT NOW’.

A five-track offering of punky, new-wave, and indie goodness, ‘REAL LIFE, RIGHT NOW’ is a masterfully pieced-together EP. Each tune offers something a little different to the next, showcasing the band’s authentic and versatile sound.

‘WOLFGANG’ gets things underway with a scintillating, punk-rock aura. A burst of energy that sets the tone for what’s to come, the blend of sharp riffs and catchy hooks is just inescapable.

‘GRAVES’ then steps up to the plate in a slower fashion, an anthemic and seriously catchy little number you won’t be able to get out of your head. ‘END OF THE WORLD’ is likely the most radio-friendly song on the EP, and the instrumental title track is completely unexpected yet hypnotising all the same.

Ending with ‘SCARED TO BE ALONE’ – this is one I’ll let you experience purely on your own. Inspired by the likes of The Cure, U2, Blink-182, Radiohead, and Nine Inch Nails, Friends of Friends are guaranteed to be around for years to come!
