The single follows up on her previous effort ‘_psychopath’, a track we described as “soul-shaking fragments of sonic chaos trained into devoted pieces of fuzzy goodness”.
We stand by our words: BEANIE is building her own universe, one that we’ll all have to reckon with, sooner or later. Compared to its predecessor, ‘PRETTY BOY!’ takes a slightly less anarchic path, finding worthy refuge in a PC Music-style punchy production, well complemented by BEANIE’s intoxicating vocal hooks and high-pitched tone, drenched in autotune and synthetic energy.
