Payson Lewis Shares Meaningful Album ‘Sorry To Keep You Up’

There’s something magical in observing a young talent slowly conquering the music landscape; that’s exactly the case with Payson Lewis. Hailing from Los Angeles, the talented creative unveils today an impressive collection of nuanced musicianship, packing it with tons of relatable lyricism and a certain pop prowess. ‘Sorry To Keep You Up’ is his latest album, a manifesto for contemporary indie-pop and coming-of-age storytelling. 

In it, the keen listener will become familiar with Lewis’ playful, malleable vocals, often drenched in honey-like melodies and a certain nostalgia. Delving into dreamy tones and vibrant mainstream stylings, the record feels quite majestic and emotional, certainly aimed at a wider audience. Payson is rather successful in that, and we are confident he’ll be finding a plethora of new fans rather soon. 

Speaking about the inspiration behind the album – and what it means for him – Lewis explains: “Over 4 years in the making, this album stands as a testament to the perseverance of the people around me who’ve believed in me and willed me to keep going. This collection combines the contributions of over 30 incredibly talented people-musicians, writers, arrangers, engineers, and fellow artists. To all of whom, I am forever indebted.”
