There’s a good chance that our rockier fans will already be familiar with Cincinnati-based act Trapt. Having originally formed in California, they’ve been a staple of the alternative rock scene since 2002, with numerous chart-topping singles to their name.
‘The Fall’ is the band’s brand new album and their ninth studio record to date. A fifteen-track collection of songs written during a time of great change, it’s an eclectic offering from the rockers. From the AFI-esque opener ‘Try It First’ to the slower sounds of ‘Think Of You’ and ‘Home’, Trapt showcase their ever-evolving musicianship, presenting something for both long-time fans and new listeners alike.
“It was hard to ebb and flow with a brave new world,” says Trapt’s lead vocalist and guitar player Chris Taylor Brown. “But it’s through this experience that we make ourselves better people”.
Other favourites from the album include the crunchy and infectious ‘Halo’, the hard-hitting sounds of ‘Bulletproof’, and the seriously anthemic banger ‘Can’t Look Away’.
All in all, it’s a truly tasty offering from an act that has stood the test of time. Currently finishing up the Parental Advisory Tour with Josey Scott (Saliva), Trapt demonstrates their unwavering commitment to their craft and their fans.
