Autorub Return with Double Single ‘The Miss Mace Mixes (432hz)’

The keen reader might remember reading about Autorub on our platform in the past. Headed by American musician and songwriter Michael Corn, the project is pretty eclectic, although its core style can be found at the intersection of indie rock, soul and pop. Following up on an ever-growing catalogue of original material, Autorub now unveils their latest offering, a double single packaged as ‘The Miss Mace Mixes (432hz)’.

In it, the listeners will find ‘Miss Mace (432hz)’, an elegantly groovy and polite soul anthem, next to a more electronic-powered, dancy version of the same piece, ‘Electronic Dance Mace (432hz)’. Next to the obviously high-level production, the record also boasts a unique, quirky feature, being tuned to 432hz (as opposed to a standard A at 440hz). It is said that such a change would result in a more mellow, relaxing effect on the listeners.

Lyrically, the double single engages in a playful exploration of the American political landscape. As explained by Corn: “It takes on the curious case of Miss Mace – that being congresswoman Nancy Mace.  Without giving it all away, I will say the song explores her good and bad sides, and both lovingly and humorously calls her out on her hypocrisy”.
