Hotel Mira Release Profound and Infectious New Single ‘Waste Away’

There’s a good chance that Canadian-based Hotel Mira is a band that needs no introduction. With millions of streams under their belt and support slots for acts like Billy Talent and The Beaches, their musical prowess is well-known to many.

Their first offering of 2024 comes in the form of ‘Waste Away’, an electrifying indie-rock gem that further enhances the band’s already supreme reputation. Deeply infectious and upbeat, the tune juxtaposes energetic instrumentation with a heartwrenching look at domestic violence.

“‘Waste Away’ is a love letter to the courage and resilience of survivors,” says frontman and songwriter Charlie Kerr. “Myself and close friends included”.

Comprised of guitarist Clark Grieve, bassist Mike Noble, drummer Cole George, and the aforementioned Charlie Kerr, Hotel Mira blends powerful messages with irresistible melodies. Touching hearts with their impactful sound, they are poised to make an even greater impact this year, as they continue to tour and connect with fans.

‘Waste Away’ has wormed its way into my head in the best possible way, and it’s a song that I find myself singing along to even when it’s not actually playing. That’s the sign of a track that will stand the test of time, and I can’t wait to hear what the band offers up next!
