Anton Commissaris Shares Latin Jazz Effort ‘Baby, Can We Fall In Love’

Writing about Anton Commissaris a few weeks ago, we proudly declared: “the Menlo Parko-based creative likes to wander from reference to reference with a playful and wholesome outlook, maintaining one constant: his luscious, near-perfect and elegant vocals”. We stand by our words, eclecticism is certainly a main feature of the project.

‘Baby, Can We Fall In Love’ is the strongest evidence of that; leaving behind the funk-flavoured grooves of ‘Love Somebody’, Anton jumps into Latin jazz territories with both feet, crafting a soulful, uplifting and lovable gem that boasts a timeless and friendly character. Crowning it all, we find Commissaris’ flexible and evocative vocals, wrapping the listeners in charisma and elegance.

Lyrically, ‘Baby, Can We Fall In Love’ tells a story of attraction and polite lust, here delivered with gusto and pathos by Anton, really supercharging this idea of timeless love and romantic storytelling.
