B-Mack Shares Uplifting Gem ‘Duckgrease Burning at The Crabhouse’

Some records are not made to be described. Rather, they should be felt. ‘Duckgrease Burning at The Crabhouse’ is exactly that: a vibrant, playful offering that connects with the listeners on a primal, instinctual level. Built on hip-hop stylings and retro-funk, Motown-like flavouring, the track moves with charisma and confidence on a bouncy, dancy beat drenched in textures and crowd noises.

Dominating it all, we find B-Mack’s evocative and malleable vocals, often layered in choral harmonies. Hailing from Staten Island, the talented singer and composer showcases all his creative flair in a record that’s rewarding and uplifting, yet still complex and multi-faceted. Again, one must listen to it in order to fully sync with its colourful state of mind.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the song, B-Mack explains: “It is an escapist song that speaks of an imaginary place everyone can go to have a good time. I love cooking and seafood, and a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving in 2023 I was experimenting with ways of cooking duck breast while also exploring the DAW (digital audio workstation app) in my recently purchased Mac Mini”.
