A man on a mission! Ari Joshua might be known to many as one of the most talented guitarists in Seattle, but he’s also a busy record producer and recording artist. Aiming at releasing 24 singles in 2024 – bringing the count to two singles per month – Joshua seeks to showcase not only his personal musicianship and eclectic character, but also highlight the fantastic collaborators and musicians who share that journey with him.
‘Star Light Mountain’ is part of that very same series of tracks; built on sleazy blues and rock stylings, the single features Joshua on flashing guitar solos and sharp riffs, alongside Russ Lawton on laidback and engaging drum grooves, and Ray Paczkowsk on a psychedelic, supporting organ. Josephine Howell completes such a stunning lineup, providing evocative backing vocals.
Released under the moniker RaaR Trio, ‘Star Light Mountain’ is a rather impressive offering, especially when it comes to the quality of all members involved. Lucky for us (and you), Joshua is embarking on a series of live dates around the US (ticket links on his website, link below):
