A familiar face on our blog, Texan hip-hop trip Bloodlin3 is back in full force, delivering a hard-hitting, charming anthem with incredible vocal flow and a fuzzy, engaging production. ‘No Mercy’ playfully contrasts with their latest album, ‘Mercy’, praised by us as “a compelling and wholesome record”. We stand by our words: Bloodlin3’s musical output is always a fantastic discovery, especially when it comes to their old-school influences and classic beats.
‘No Mercy’ is certainly on the dark side of things; introduced by a hypnotising synthetiser, the track proceeds through bouncy beats and fast-paced, crushing rap lyricism, the perfect match for such a malleable and impressive production. Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘No Mercy’, the Texan outfit explains: “This is our introductory song coming back from our debut album “Mercy” this time we are coming harder and having “No Mercy” on the music industry. We are still trying to change the game and reset the cookie-cutter sound we hear today”.
