We are rather familiar with Tropic, having followed them in the last couple of years through a series of mesmerising and passionate R&B jewels. The Brooklyn-based duo possesses all the right cards to rise to stardom, boasting incredible vocal prowess and a cathartic, poignant lyricism that’s relatable and hypnotising.
‘Wanna Know’ is their latest single, perhaps their most emotional effort to date. Over a classic, slow-paced ballad-like R&B production, Phuse and Jo-B Sebastian layer a plethora of emotional harmonies and the most luscious lyricism, delivered with charisma, confidence and a malleable vocal tone that’s the perfect match for such a vibrant offering.
Like all the best R&B anthems, ‘Wanna Know’ needs to be experienced first-hand, it greatly works as a ‘mood enhancer’ – so don’t be afraid to dive into it.
