Cards on the table…We’re a little obsessed with The Baby Goats! Based in Los Angeles, the trio of dads who met at their kids’ elementary school are creating something sonically special with their infectious blend of indie-rock and synthy nourishment.
‘Lovely’ is the band’s brand new single, and sees them following a similar pattern to previous releases. Upbeat, vibrant, and incredibly catchy, it’s an anthemic tune that is sure to get stuck in your head for days. A track about viewing life through a different set of eyes, ‘Lovely’ asks the listener to remember when they were a kid. “What was your default setting then?” asks the act. And to them, the answer is obvious! “Beauty is all around us, but no one is looking”.
Inspired by a wide range of acts; Talking Heads, Depeche Mode, New Order, Blondie, and LCD Soundsystem just to mention a few, The Baby Goats are on a mission to spread positivity and joy through their music. Capturing the essence of youth and nostalgia, they are carving out a unique space of their own in an overcrowded and often uninspiring industry.
