‘A Fall from Grace’ was an EP released last year that we really enjoyed. Courtesy of London-based singer/songwriter Paul Claxton, we labelled it a nuanced and multi-layered offering, and have been eagerly awaiting Paul’s next release. Step forward ‘Is There Something Else?’, the artist’s country-tinged and heartfelt new single.
The soulful and nostalgia-laced tune is the perfect example of just what Claxton is all about; raw emotion, honest storytelling, and musical depth. With a wide range of styles and an even wider range of influences, the musician concocts an exceptional blend of folky Americana rock goodness that harks back to the golden age of singer/songwriters. To a time when songs were more than just melodies and became the soundtrack to our lives. When they captured the very essence of the human experience, and what love, loss, and everything in between truly felt like.
An artist who knows his way around the stage, Paul has supported the likes of Robert Plant, Bob Geldof, and Jean Jacques Burnel in his time. He’s performed at iconic venues all over the UK and has deservedly earned a reputation as a seasoned pro.
A master of his craft, we can’t wait to hear what Claxton gets up to next!
