Nohland Shares Relatable Gem ‘all my friends’

If there’s one thing we can praise Nohland for, is the relatability of his lyricism. A familiar face on our platform – we previously featured ‘Closer To You’ – the London-based talent champions a poignant outlook that stems from his ability to open up to the listeners, showcasing his fragility and authenticity with pride and elegance. ‘all my friends’ continues on the same trend, offering a window over the existential challenges of a twenty-something, reckoning with the harsh reality of social expectations and ephemeral life goals.

The single’s sonic livery fits with Nohland’s usual Modus Operandi: a stream of poignant textures and soothing electronic tones, rather pop and approachable. Such a production is the perfect companion for the young creative’s evocative vocals, immensely expressive and meaningful. Clocking in at just over the three-minute mark, ‘all my friends’ is the kind of song that might make you tear up, or just deeply reflect on your own journey. Isn’t that what art is supposed to evoke, after all?

Speaking about the record, Nohland explains: “This is a song I wrote before turning 25 when I was at a party and realised all my friends found themselves in serious relationships and we’re way ahead in their career”.
