‘PRICE OF LOVE aka 4 THE GAME’ is Proklaim’s latest effort, a personal reflection drenched in contemporary events around the hip-hop scene. As he states: “It’s a commentary on recent hip-hop news making the rounds of widespread abuse of power by specified individuals”. Not mentioning any names, the up-and-coming rapper seeks his personal truth, affirming positivity and the desire for a healthier scene in the face of problematic allegations.
Sonically, ‘PRICE OF LOVE aka 4 THE GAME’ is as malleable and groovy as you’d expect from Proklaim, this time perhaps tinged with a veiled nostalgic flair. A worthy discovery, once again.
