After having followed Kelsie Kimberlin for the past two years, we are pleased to see her shuffling the project’s artistic direction, jumping into dancy, luscious and Latin-inspired territories. It is a fitting choice, seeing the approaching spring and summer. ‘Parking Lot’ has all the right cards to become a hit, and we wouldn’t be surprised to witness exactly that.
Leaving behind her most poignant phase – dedicated to supporting her roots in the Ukrainian war – Kimberlin now accelerates into more trivial themes, doing so with class and charisma. It is time: we appreciate her past efforts, and we look forward to ‘meaningful Kelsie’ returning later in the year.
For now, though, all eyes are on ‘Parking Lot’, and they are evocative, vibrant eyes; the eyes of someone having fun, dancing to commercial tones and Reggaeton-inspired grooves. Lyrically, the song features Kimberlin as a desired, attractive dancer, featuring a visually stunning and dynamic music video shot in Cartagena, Colombia.
