The latest addition to the Australian hip-hop landscape, Tommy Marsh has already managed to release a sizeable catalogue, quite impressive for a 21-year-old talent. ‘Bed Sheet Trauma’ is his latest effort, a slice of grime-flavoured, dance-powered rap matter, perfectly fitting Marsh’s evocative yet controlled vocal tone, quite nuanced and hypnotising.
Sonically, the track flourishes on a modern production which borders EDM and UK garage stylings, making for a truly international record that we are confident will appeal to a wider audience. In it, Marsh recalls the troubled experience of a love circle, trying to process all the dazzling emotions associated with it.
Written during a period of isolation, ‘Bed Sheet Trauma’ is Tommy’s attempt at working on his own internal conflicts. Speaking about the writing process, Tommy explains: “Being on my own is one of my worst fears because of how deeply I get in my head when I’ve been alone for a long time.”
