There’s a strong amount of unwavering fierceness to be found in ‘Love Me More’; built on classic RnB elements, the record exudes a healthy amount of drama and poignancy, delivered with charisma and confidence by Janet Noh’s evocative vocals. Featuring five engaging and catchy tracks, the EP hypnotises the listeners with relationship-themed anthems and relatable lyricism, the perfect formula for such an enchanting project.
Noh’s debut effort, ‘Love Me More’ balances stylings from different eras, drawing from early ‘2000 RnB, punchy recession pop beats and recent trap flavourings. Everything plays a very specific part in Janet’s artistic vision, sculpting her musical output into a colossal, majestic EP. The title track ‘Love Me More’ is one of the strongest episodes in it, a sensual and empowering hymn preaching self-reliance and independence.
Delving into personal experiences, Noh is able to deliver a helpful and warning call to all her listeners; as she explains: “After experiencing manipulation and deep-seated gaslighting at the hands of a close friend and musical collaborator, I began to doubt myself”. The talented songstress took action, reframing her internal power towards artistic glory. We are glad to see her flourishing in ‘Love Me More’.
