SIR-VERE Gear Up for Upcoming Album with ‘Legion’

There’s a great deal of old-school electronica in ‘Legion’. Echoing early ‘2000 vibes, the track reminds us of the great The Chemical Brothers, together with Trip-hop’s brand of irreverence and charisma. Ultimately, though, it’s peculiar and unique to SIR-VERE, British outfit with a knack for sharp sound design and groovy jewels. Gearing up for an upcoming album – ‘Lovescope’ – expected on January 26th, the Milton Keyes-based group shares an intriguing appetizer in the form of ‘Legion’.

There’s a lot to decode in it; nuances are many and spread evenly, be it fuzzy guitars, coarse synthetisers or Fatboy Slim-esque beats. Ultimately though, it is also a record that’s simple and relatable, made for a listening experience that’s enchanting and freeing. We shouldn’t overthink it: ‘Legion’ simply takes us by the neck, wrapping us into euphoric and electrifying energy. A shock to the system. That’s what music is about, isn’t it?

Lyrically, SIR-VERE is equally convincing: drenching their music into metaphorical rebellion and contemporary critiques, the project embarks on a cathartic journey to society’s real puppeteers, pushing the listeners towards playful yet intense reflection.
