Get Hypnotised with Die Kleine (Avant-Garde) Hardchor Operette

It took us a while to come to terms with “An Album (of consequential proportions)”. It’s just so unique and quirky, that we had to taste it in its entirety. It turns out, the record is peculiar, intense and electrifying while carrying a great deal of musical virtuosity. You see, the album contains anthemic and gothic-flavoured classical singing layered over hard-rock and metal stylings, all delivered with charisma and elegance by Die Kleine (Avant-Garde) Hardchor Operette, a duo of enlightened creatives based in Zurich, Switzerland, but with international origins.

The pair is successful at what others often fail at: mesmerising the listeners with something they have not heard before. It worked for us; delving into “An Album (of consequential proportions)” one can’t help but be hypnotised by such pomposity and lusciousness, a stream of musical opulency hitting you from all corners. From malleable and cinematic vocal melodies to gritty screams, passing through destroyed guitars and the occasional folklore elements. What more could you want?

As Szabina Schnöller – the group’s vocalist – explains: “It’s rock; although to me, it sounds like a kind of Sex-Punk Circus of gypsy Metal-heads. But for sure it’s an album of consequential proportions.”
