Speaking about the record, she explains: “CRUSH felt like it had to be written. After writing a whole EP about my first heartbreak and being emotionally unavailable, I caught feelings for someone for the first time in years and I put them all on CRUSH. It’s a song about being terrified of what I’m feeling, even if it’s good and exciting, and about not knowing what to do with those feelings.”
