The Rolling People Shares Anthemic Single ‘Grateful for Nothing’

Have you ever had the glorious feeling of observing a band about to blow up into national recognition? We just did. We discovered The Rolling People, and it’s obvious that they are on their way to the top. They have it all: industry support, a fashionable rock’n’roll look, an impactful show… and of course, music that one can’t refrain from listening to on a loop. Reminiscent of the glory days of Britpop, The Rolling People have certainly learnt from some of the heroes of that era – think Richard Ashcroft and Noel Gallagher, among others.

They possess stamina, edgy sleaze, and the ability to blend melodic, catchy melodies with fuzzy and chaotic guitar tones. ‘Grateful for Nothing’ is their latest effort, an immensely warm and euphoric indie gem with a touch of nostalgia thrown into the mix, for good measure. The result is a record that instantly sticks into your ears, showcasing the band’s ability to impress at first listen.

Having just completed a small national tour, The Rolling People can certainly step into 2024 with renowned drive and hope. Speaking about the inspiration behind ‘Grateful for Nothing’, they explain: “Grateful For Nothing’ is a song laced with power and frustration, and reflection of the sudden realisation that nothing in life is handed to you on a plate – you can’t always wait around for the things you hope for to happen”.
