There’s a good chance that award-winning singer/songwriter Emily Barker is already a name that many are familiar with. From performing the theme song for the classic British crime drama Wallander to gearing up for a tour with the legendary Frank Turner, she’s a musician who’s been around the block and boasts a seriously impressive resume in the industry. Having spent more than two decades living in the UK, Emily recently decided to return home to Western Australia to embark on a new musical journey, and the first fruit of those labours is a beautifully cinematic new tune called ‘Wild to be Sharing This Moment’.
A compelling drumbeat, minimalist synths, and a gentle guitar get the song up and running before Barker’s angelic and almost meditative vocals make their first appearance. The track effortlessly builds itself up, layer upon layer, until eventually reaching its colourful and evocative climax. Just stunning in every way!
