Hana Piranha Shares Intense Album ‘Wingspan’

We have been lucky enough to discover Hana Piranha not long ago, featuring ‘Lorelei’. She instantly made a strong impression on us, especially thanks to her majestic and evocative style, showering the listeners with intensity and gravitas. Known for her dynamic approach to rock, pop and gritty electronica, the Brighton creative now returns with a larger release, a stunning album that works wonders in amplifying Piranha’s genre boundaries and charismatic flair.

‘Wingspan’ is a hard-hitting yet nuanced journey into Hana’s personal artistic universe, a place that feels anthemic, celebrative and transformative. She’s not in the business of elevator music: rather, Piranha likes to pen punchy and gritty sonic offerings, tracks that the listeners won’t forget anytime soon. ‘Wingspan’ follows those very same guidelines, going from eclectic, electro-rock bangers such as ‘I Wanna Leave’ to more guitar-powered gems such as ‘Elixir of Life’. ‘Only Love Remains’ showcases the project’s mellower side, drenched in spacious shoegaze energy and new wave stylings.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the record, she explains: “We were at a place with the band, and myself as well, where it became about self-development rather than self-destruction, so it came from this really positive place of fulfilling your potential and your potential being bigger than just what other people can see of you.”
