Tanya Goltz Returns with Debut EP ‘Pieces Of Me’

We featured Tanya Goltz in our publication before, praising ‘No One Wins’ as “taking everyone back to simpler times, through malleable slices of Hammond organ, spacious guitars and tons of Country sleaze.” We stand by our words: the Australian songstress showcases fierce and relatable lyricism against a backdrop of irresistible rustic Country stylings, something that’s quite certainly a winning formula.

You can be the judge of that; Goltz has recently unveiled her debut EP, ‘Pieces Of Me’, a record that feels meaningful yet eclectic, immersive and empowering. The Brisbane-based creative makes ample use of her rock roots and Americana flavourings, constantly oscillating between modern alt territories and more traditional guitar-powered storytelling. Frankly, it’s a fantastic record, one that’s bound to connect with even the most apathetic of listeners.

That’s because Goltz shares slices of personal experience life lived, passing through human behaviours and broken hearts: “armed with insights after giving in to a serious case of wanderlust, suffering heartbreak, falling hard in love and experiencing the triumphs and heartaches of working as a social worker” – as she explains.
