That’s how ‘Mastication 2’ feels. An intricate yet triumphal journey into Dylan Lounsberry’s wide artistry.
Sonically, the record builds its identity on a kaleidoscopic blend of fuzzy lead guitars, intricate drum grooves and sample-based textures, glitch drones and repetitive loops. Incorporating references as wide as Oz Noy and Battles, Lounsberry confirms his sapient knowledge in music and arts, something he’s been working towards since a young age.
A gifted guitarist and composer, Dylan is bound to mesmerize listeners far and wide with ‘Mastication’. Granted, it’s not a record for everyone. That said, the bold and courageous listener will be glad to have discovered it.
