Jalisa Denice Unveils Luscious RnB Gem ‘Get To Work’

Following up an already busy year filled with new music, British talent Jalisa Denice reiterates her unique character and light retro tones with a fierce and empowering record, ‘Get To Work’. In it, the keen listener will discover a blissful sonic universe made up of 80s-flavoured Funk and old-school RnB, providing the perfect framework for Denice’s luscious and evocative vocals, delivered with charisma and unmatched control.

In fact, while referenced in tradition, the track looks to the future with a very contemporary production quality. Corey Kane is the wizard behind the beat, perfectly complementing Jalisa Denice’s bold and vibey lyricism. It’s not lost on us the Luther Vandross tribute, with the London-based songstress engaging in a surprising “never too much / never too much”.

Thriving on synthesised tones and punchy drum machines, ‘Get To Work’ is perhaps one of Denice’s strongest releases to date, fully showcasing the magnitude of her artistry. Lyrically, the song seeks to offer a helping hand for any troubled soul out there, in a signal of community and resilience. As Jalisa explains: “In today’s fast-paced society, it’s easy to feel left behind, but this song encourages you to persevere and conquer any obstacles that come your way.”
