A highly immersive offering, ‘Wabi Sabi’ is the collaborative work of French producer Sambox (already featured on our blog before) and cellist Anita Barbereau. The pair shares an artistic alchemy that seems to work extremely well. Barbereau’s nuanced and complex melodies intertwine with Sambox’s retro sound design, creating a musical formula that feels enticing and memorable.
Lyrically, the piece floats around the Japanese definition of ‘Wabi Sabi’, as we are told: “a Japanese concept that finds beauty in imperfection, authenticity in simplicity, and harmony in the ephemeral.”
