Almost exactly two years ago, I stumbled upon the musical project of Árni Gudjonsson and Natalia Sushchenko. Performing under the moniker Pale Moon, the duo had just released a tune called ‘Strange Days’ that I fell completely in love with. Fast forward to today, and I am extremely proud to introduce you to ‘Spaghetti’, the pair’s brand new single! Venturing into what they call a more “raw and visceral sound,” the track is a funky and soulful indie-pop jewel. Groovy guitars meet lively drums and stylish bass lines before Natalia’s charming and alluring vocals come to the fore.
There’s a warmth and richness to the song that has entirely stolen my heart. From the very first second, you’re just sucked into Pale Moon’s dreamy soundscape. It’s cosy and comforting and somehow lends a sense of security. It’s more than just a tune…it’s a warm sonic blanket!
Árni and Natalia now reside in Barcelona, Spain, and have assembled a rather deadly touring band. They’re also hard at work on a brand new album which we cannot wait to hear. It’s been so good hearing from Pale Moon again – they’ve grown and matured and fully deserve all the praise that comes their way.
