Describing Sara Möller is not a simple task. You see, the talented Swedish creative is not just an enlightened singer and musician, but also an accomplished lyricist, charging her music with theatrical energy and meaningful themes. Balancing over Folk, Blues and Jazz, the Stockholm-based songstress manages to pen material that feels intimate yet intense, specific yet universal. The listening experience is pretty transformative, with Möller able to evoke a reflective state of mind – almost a point of reckoning with one’s authenticity.
‘How and How’ is Sara’s latest album, a comprehensive and relevant body of work which greatly showcases her musical gift. Over elegant and majestic instrumental, powered by wholesome guitars, retro organs and soothing drums, Möller layers her evocative vocals, also showcasing a great deal of technical prowess in the process. The record is pretty eclectic, with stunning horns helping it reach charming sleazy and playful territories, at times.
Over eleven tracks, the listener is bound to get mesmerized by such a rich and nuanced artistic offering. ‘How and How’ is Möller’s third album to date, out now on Unsolved Music. The production is curated by Mikael Augustsson.
