The Deadly Beloved is a relatively new five-piece alternative rock band hailing from Dallas. Though still in its musical infancy, the act has become renowned for its intense, transformative, and deeply expressive sound. Just last week, they unleashed a brand new tune called ‘HAUNTED’ that comes with an absolutely beautiful cinematic intro track, and I’m thrilled to be able to share both with you today! ‘I wrote a song for your funeral’ is the aforementioned haunting piano-led piece that gets things underway and sets the scene epically for the main show that is ‘HAUNTED’.
A powerful, rich, and fierce tune, ‘HAUNTED’ starts off slowly before layers of lush drums, impassioned guitar licks, thick bass lines, and eerie violin are all introduced. Xavier Bernazard’s dynamic vocal performance is out of this world, and I just love the elements of prog-rock coming through, especially towards the latter end of the track!
Influenced by acts like Paramore, Evanescence, PVRIS, and Willow, The Deadly Beloved are entering what they called their “post Funeral era,” a reference to the band’s previous album ‘Balloons For My Funeral’. I’m blown away by their sound, to be honest – and I cannot get enough of this song! We want more!
Serious tune alert! Enjoy ‘HAUNTED’ on Spotify now:
