The Thing With Feathers Release Glorious Jewel ‘Something Wrong’

Earlier this year, we described indie outfit The Thing With Feathers as “A band worth your time”. Writing about their previous single ‘Everything I’m Missing’, it was evident how much talent and artistic drive they were able to offer. Well, we stand behind our words: the group has recently returned with a new single, and it’s an absolute triumph. ‘Something Wrong’ delves into more rebellious and fierce territories, while maintaining the nuanced emotional energy so common in the band’s discography.

Emerging out of Nashville, The Thing With Feathers pack the record with tons of relatability and heart-wrenching nostalgia, making for a rather memorable listening experience. What’s more, the grit and punch of their guitars don’t seem to be missing: ‘Something Wrong’ is a glorious, anthemic journey into indie and alt-rock perfection.

What’s more, the release also features a ‘Hot Ones’ style Q&A featuring their producer, co-writers, and friends of the band (linked below). So if you want to get to know the group better, this is your chance. Speaking about ‘Something Wrong’, lead singer David Welcsh explains: “The song is about the way up. It’s about meeting someone new and exciting. It’s about the fear and the thrill of pushing down what hurts your heart and stepping out on shaky ground”.
