Lara Anderson Unveils Emotional EP ‘Lovesick’

Such a soothing, elegant and melancholic offering; ‘Lovesick’ truly is a work of art, the work of an insanely talented creative. Lara Anderson is the entity in question, and she can certainly deliver: ‘The Day That I Met You’ – the EP opener – is a nuanced and evocative ballad, the kind of song that is able to spark warm moments of escapism and poignant introspection. In other words, it is food for the soul, a wholesome refuge from the fleeting nature of everyday life.

Hailing from Australia, Anderson has been able to showcase her musical qualities since the age of 14, going viral with an acoustic cover of The Foundations’ ‘Build Me Up Buttercup’, in 2018. Since then, it’s been a journey towards stardom, with Lara growing both in her lyrical maturity and sonic intensity.

‘All I Ever Wanted’ continues in the same emotional settings, marking the EP as a definite jewel. ‘Charity’ and ‘Burden’ gracefully take the listener to the record’s closure, where ‘Dont’ Forget To Kiss Me’ delivers luscious, cinematic and anthemic vibes, picturing a sea of vocal harmonies and majestic textures. Speaking about ‘Lovesick’, Anderson explains: “It is an ode to those who are looking for love with the best of intentions, and lose themselves along the way.”
