Jack Foz Shares Anthemic Indie Banger ‘Call’

While ‘Call’ aligns with the current indie-pop aesthetic, its production gives it an edgier character. For instance, the lighter and lo-fi drum sound helps with making the record feel wholesome and approachable. It’s eclectic indie matter with a garage character in it. We love it, and we think it’s the perfect match for Jack Foz’s malleable and sleazy vocals, able to explode into anthemic energy in the arena-ready chorus.

Is he Britain’s latest alternative revelation? Perhaps so, he certainly has what it takes. Based in London, Foz has been championed by the likes of BBC Introducing and FutureHits Radio, allowing him to build a healthy dose of hype around the project. Rightly so: ‘Call’ is a euphoric and relatable banger bound to connect even with the more apathetic of listeners.

Lyrically, the single explores relationship troubles, especially regarding the willingness to apologize to each other. We have all been there, haven’t we? As Foz explains: “’Call’ captures the moment after a big argument with a significant other, where both parties are too stubborn to say sorry, but are waiting for the other to apologise, so they can move on and be friends again. Relationships can be a complicated beast, and I find capturing little specific moments like these in lyrics, actually makes for a more relatable song.”
