Fin Furey Shares Elegant Folk Gem ‘Glory Days’

Hailing from Ireland, Fin Furey possesses the rare ability to hypnotize listeners with his evocative and intimate vocals, commanding attention and creating an experience that won’t be forgotten easily. That’s what ‘Glory Days’ sounds like: a soothing, elegant yet upbeat folk gem, the record works wonders in showcasing Furey’s lyrical nuances and sonic sophistication. It’s a triumph, really.

Introduced by a primal acoustic guitar, ‘Glory Days’ slowly grows into a more complete effort, with organic and country-style drums joining the party in the chorus, creating a section that feels quite nostalgic and melancholic. It’s also here that we can trace some of John Mayer’s influences in Fin’s vocals, although he might also refer to more traditional acts such as Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan. Well, the end result is still inherently unique and authentic.

It’s no wonder where Furey’s talent comes from: he’s in fact the son of Finbar Furey, of The Fureys, a legendary Irish Folk Band. Despite the need to prove himself, he still managed to create his own artistic journey, one that we are confident we will remember for many years to come.
