Solar Bloom is the indie musical project of Matt DeVoti, a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer based in New Jersey. Just the other day, he released his brand new dream-pop tune ‘This Tiny World’, and it’s five minutes of pure sonic bliss if I’m being completely honest! A song about how we communicate with one another, and the realisation that so much of it is done non-verbally, it’s a track that sees its creator delving into the nuances of human connection and unspoken languages.
Sonically, ‘This Tiny World’ is a reverb-soaked, full-bodied, and utterly hypnotising track. Imagine a musical blend of Will Wood’s theatrical style and Tame Impala’s psychedelic sound. It’s lush, layered, and basically just perfect in every way!
Mastered by the legendary Grammy-nominated engineer Joe Lambert, it’s a tune that I believe has the potential to propel Solar Bloom to the next level. Matt is also part of a larger music scene of creators including the bands Human Zoo, Sarah and the Safe Word, and Machinery of the Human Heart. I think it’s fair to say he keeps himself pretty busy, and that bodes well for more of his music reaching us sooner rather than later!
