Sophia Bavishi Returns with Performative Cover ‘Money Power Glory’

We got to know Bavishi earlier this summer, writing about the acoustic version of ‘ya we broke up’, one of the project’s most iconic tracks. We were instantly hypnotised by Sofia’s evocative and quirky vocals, so charismatic and with such a wide tonal range. Now, she returns with a brand new single, a cover version of ‘Money Power Glory’ (originally released by Lana Del Rey). Built on a minimal and intimate production, the track leaves ample space for Bavishi and her enlightened lyricism, exploring the nuances of human behaviours and driving a strong introspective attitude.

Based in Phoenix, the talented songstress perfected her artistry at Arizona State University, where she finished her degree in Popular Music with a focus on singer/songwriter, digital performance, and music production. The results are for everyone to see, especially when it comes to vocal prowess and songwriting depth.

Speaking about the making of the single, Bavishi explains: “I created Money Power Glory using the Ableton Push and live looping techniques, this song is an intriguing example of digital performance in action.”
