It’s fair to say that the brand new single from Stephanie Heitz is causing some serious buzz! ‘Do You Dare?’ has only been out a little over a month and it’s already racked up over 28,000 plays on Spotify! To create the jazzy, funky, and soulful little number, the American singer/songwriter teamed up with indie outfit Macanto, and the result is pure musical bliss. A tune about stepping out of one’s comfort zone and seizing the day, ‘Do You Dare?’ is an uplifting and encouraging gem – both sonically and lyrically. Stephanie’s ridiculously impressive vocal performance seals the deal for me, and there’s just so much to love about this beautiful track.
Heitz and Macanto connected via social media, and ‘Do You Dare?’ is actually their sixth collaboration to date. Unfortunately, they are separated by over 4,000 miles, so any quick impromptu show is unlikely to come together. But one can dream – can’t one?
Having grown up on a steady diet of jazz, with her grandmother being a jazz musician herself, it’s clear that Stephanie knows exactly what sort of sound she’s after. A confident, bold, and authentic artist, we look forward to hearing from her and Macanto again!
