The keen reader might remember reading about Deer Park Avenue a few weeks back. The fierce German-based American duo of rock sisters Sarah and Steph Snyder had just released ‘Strut’, a record we described as “pure euphoria, a powerful journey into fuzzy, bluesy and hard rock delivered with modern flair and a dazzling production”.
Now, Deer Park Avenue give the song a visual counterpart, with a music video that tries to encapsulate all the raw energy and relatable vibes of their live performances. Safe to say, it successfully does exactly that, with footage from their headline slot at Theatron Festival, in Munich’s storied Olympiapark open-air stage, on the last weekend of the festival (sponsored by Feierwerk). The video pans between the big stage and rehearsal at Munich Sessions Studio, displaying the band’s joy for playing music with friends everywhere they go.
Sarah and Steph’s telepathic connectivity is tangible on stage, and they are able to connect with audience members in meaningful and personal ways, even to a crowd as large as Olympiapark. The music video was filmed and directed by Sam Cowell of Able Archer Media, based in Newcastle, England. Cowell is known for his work with many independent musicians, including BBC Introducing and One to Watch artists.
