Off the back of a glorious electro-pop single, ‘Light Within Dark’, talented songstress Alice Jayne is gearing up for her next London show. Taking place at The Star of Kings, in King’s Cross creative hub, on October 11th, the night will provide an opportunity to hear Jayne’s powerful vocals first-hand, alongside a selected lineup of fellow artists.

Boasting extensive experience as a performer and writer, Jayne came back to the recorded music scene only last year, showcasing a newly-found artistic direction. Entering her bright and evocative electro-pop era, Alice looks set on a rising path, while also inspiring and empowering listeners towards authenticity and self-growth.
Intrigued by the project, we caught up with the London-based talent to find out more about her artistic journey, also trying to catch a little info about her upcoming performance…
Hey Alice, how is it going? we can’t wait to see you perform for Gotobeat next month. What can we expect from your set?
Heeeyyyyy, very well thank you! Oh me too it’s going to be EPIC! You can expect a lot of energy, a mixture of dark to synth pop, and vocals that will give you chills it’ll leave you wanting more!
Your current work is the result of a long journey; What first drew you to making music?
It really is… I grew up in a very creative family, my Irish father was a folk musician who busked the streets of London, and he showed me the ways with the old classics. My mother also used to sing on the odd occasion but she was always more of an Artist, using many different mediums from sculpture to photography.
I taught myself to sing in my bedroom with Mariah, Christina and Aretha, it quite literally saved my life. I started writing from the age of 11 but it wasn’t until I was in my thirties that I brought out my first ‘original’ song.
You have been releasing new material since last year; we love the new electro-powered direction you are going for. Can we expect further records this year?
Thank you so much, I’m so glad you enjoy it! Yes, in fact, I’ve just completed my EP so you can expect some goodies on their way soon… one of which I plan to play on my night at the Star of Kings. I am also planning an acoustic EP for the beginning of next year, so watch this space!
We noticed some older tracks on your Spotify profile, and it’s apparent how your style has been greatly evolving through the years. Would you consider yourself an eclectic artistic being?
Yes, I used to be involved in the underground ‘Rockabilly’ scene where I cut my first record.
I can definitely claim the eclectic card haha… I have many interests and my music taste is so vast and always has been. I live and breathe music, so putting myself in only one box would be very underwhelming.
For the moment I’m sticking to pop… it finally feels like the ‘right’ genre for me, it took me a long time to figure out my ‘sound’ and I’m now making music I’m excited by. When I cried hearing the master of ‘The Tower’, I knew I was on the right path.
Well, thanks for talking to us! We’ll catch you on the 11th of October in London at the Star of Kings 🙂
Thank you so much for having me…I’m so excited to perform and can’t wait to see you there!
