A/V CLvB Gear Up for Upcoming EP with ‘Cellar Door’

‘Cellar Door’ is what we described as a ‘rebellious record’. There’s a strong sleazy component in it, mostly manifested in the gritty and noisy guitar tones, the lo-fi production and the casual vocals, delivered with charisma and freshness. If college punk was ever your cup of tea, you’ll connect to A/V CLvB, American outfit with a strong eye for eclectic grunge, punk and alt-rock stylings, all mixed together like it’s 1991 all over again.

Fact is, it is not 1991 anymore, and so a record like ‘Cellar Door’ stands out quite a lot, especially in a music landscape that’s been conquered by synthetic matter. We enjoy the track, and although one can easily see a few points where the group could improve, it is abundantly clear that they do not lack artistic imagination. And that’s what matters. We expect big things from A/V CLvB in the near future.

Comprised of Avery Gordon on vocals and rhythm guitar, Braeden Muir on vocals and lead guitar, Noah Liddy on bass and Cameron McLaughlin on drums, the band is gearing up for an upcoming EP release, ‘Dumbwaiters to Die For’. Speaking about ‘Cellar Door’, they explain: “This song was written at a time when Avery was in a deep obsession with Donnie Darko for a week and wanted to make a song titled ‘Cellar Door’. The demo originally included audio from the movie, but was taken out in the final version.”
