SHSH Share Doom and Gloom Record ‘The Great Paradise of Tomorrow’

‘The Great Paradise of Tomorrow’ is not just a record. It’s a mood, a state of mind, something that needs to be experienced at its own pace. A demanding yet unique listening experience, the album won’t likely be for everybody, championing a hard-hitting doom and trash metal sound that feels gloomy and cathartic. Also anthemic, we’d say: there’s unavoidable energy emanating from it, pushing every user towards fierceness and alternative thinking.

Penned by Lithuanian band SHSH (also known as SHvininiai SHarvai), ‘The Great Paradise of Tomorrow’ shines a strong light on the group, active for the past few years and exhibiting high creative productivity. The band also shares a unique, quirky and gloomy aesthetic, calling themselves custom names: Mastermind, Saxocutioner, Riot, Mr.Lead and Edgelord.

There’s a precise set of ideas and beliefs behind their music, as SHSH explain: “We are currently working on an intentionally edgy metal movement – ‘Kill alt/indie’, which claims that the current music scene and metal festivals have been consumed by ‘lazy and pretentious alternative and indie rock bands that all sound the same’……” – we’ll let you make up your mind on that, but do check out ‘The Great Paradise of Tomorrow’, it’s a great album.
