Under Delusion Shares Anthemic Single ‘Burning Under Water’

The keen reader might remember reading about Moscow-based outfit Under Delusion previously. In particular, we wrote about them on the occasion of the release of ‘Dive’, a record we described as “a dark and emotional tale, a tune that blends elements of alternative rock, dark pop, synthwave, and electronica”. Now, the upcoming band returns with their latest effort, the nostalgic and anthemic gem ‘Burning Under Water’.

Consistent with their previous single, the track explores new wave, rock and electronica, mixing it all with modern and innovative flair. Exhibiting a certain soundtrack, cinematic quality – mainly due to its catchy and evocative chorus – ‘Burning Under Water’ benefits from Under Delusion’s luscious and deep lead vocals, perfectly working with a wall of fuzzy guitars and industrial synth work.

Taken from the group’s upcoming second album, ‘Burning Under Water’ also carries a meaningful and relevant message. As the band explain: “Inspired by a near-death experience at a depth of 30 meters in the vast expanse of the Pacific Ocean, ‘Burning Under Water’ encapsulates the anguish of enduring challenging times, a relatable sentiment for all.”
