Penned by American duo Silk Sewn Dream, the record showcases a project that borrows from the best retro tradition in order to deliver material that’s extremely contemporary, rediscovering old features with modern flair. We are entirely on board, especially when it comes to the project’s charming vocals, so floaty and evocative, yet malleable and memorable.
Formed by Noah Gonci and Finn Concoran, Silk Sewn Dream write and perform all of their material. Describing their creative process, the pair explain: “Our material is often about the loss of love. We recorded all of our upcoming material over the course of a week and a half in the summer of 2023. We worked for 10-12 hours for that period, often until sunrise”.
