This is one of the quirkiest, yet most authentic and original records we have come across in a while. Not only from a musical standpoint but also for the project’s whole aesthetic. ‘Synergy’ is a highly addictive, fierce anthem, built over a mixture of cinematic drums and modern electronics. While verses are filled with synth bass and drum machine energy, choruses open up with layered percussions, choral vocals and highly memorable hooks.
Penned by the self-titled The Greatest Entertainer, the record is the latest in a series of musical efforts in a project that started as a social media viral phenomenon. In 2020, just before quarantine shut down social gatherings, wacky footage of The Greatest Entertainer roaming Fitness Expos and other locations (bumping into huge, confused bodybuilders while his sons and friends filmed their reactions) have amassed over a billion views.
It was only natural to develop the narrative further, taking it to charming artistic levels. Speaking about the project, The Greatest Entertainer explains: “You gotta tell people who you are, right? – The name was still available online. But I’m taking it to the next level, to the extreme. I’m the greatest entertainer now!”
